  • ELECTIMUSS Spice D'Arno

    Lux is proud to collaborate once again with long-term client ELECTIMUSS, this time for the launch campaign film for their new fragrance in the Explorer Collection: SPICE D'ARNO. Our production team has meticulously crafted a product video that embodies the essence and rhythmical composition of this unique scent. Inspired by the rich history of spices and ingredients, SPICE D'ARNO celebrates the new horizons pioneered by the Romans. The trade routes they established allowed for the movement of goods and ideas across the Empire, and our video captures this spirit of exploration and innovation. Utilising the latest Freefly Ember Highspeed Cameras, we filmed the fragrance and its ingredients at 4K resolution and 800 frames per second. The result is an elegant and harmonious visual experience that mirrors the intricate layers of SPICE D'ARNO.

  • PLENISH MANGO SUNSHINE & BEET BALANCE SHOTS RANGE CAMPAIGN

    We recently collaborated with Plenish, Head of Content and Communications Michelle Jones and food stylist Seiko Hatfield to create captivating visuals for the launch of the brand's new juice shots, Mango Sunshine and Beet Balance. Our goal was to highlight the vibrant, fresh ingredients and the vitality these shots bring. The project featured eye-catching fruit towers styled by Seiko, showcasing the refreshing appeal and health benefits of the new shots. Shot and post-produced by Lux Studio London, with art direction by Michelle Jones, the cohesive campaign visuals leads a successful product launch for Plenish.

    Leveraging our cutting-edge virtual production LED setup, we brought to life an enchanting spring picnic scene for Molton Brown's Graceful Apricot & Freesia Gifting Films. With Kate French leading the style, our studio turned into a lovely scene that combined spring's brightness with Molton Brown's special Mother's Day collection.

    ELEMIS entrusted Lux with their Pro-Collagen Skin Protection Fluid SPF50 campaign, aiming to create a captivating visual narrative for the product launch. Collaborating closely with the ELEMIS team, we transformed their vision into a stunning reality, highlighting the product's exceptional sun protection and featherweight texture. Our expert lighting and cinematography team developed a tailored visual strategy, using refined lighting techniques to accentuate the product's elegance and a special rig to achieve next level of motion control.

    In a collaboration where artistry meets elegance, Lux is proud to unveil our latest film project, carefully crafted for artist Ai Weiwei. Featuring the breathtaking pieces from his fine art jewellery collection ‘The Zodiac Charms’, this TASCHEN collaboration has been a captivating project to work on. Our film zooms in on the exquisite details of these masterpieces, highlighting the meticulous craftsmanship and texture of these hand-cast zodiac heads, sculpted by the artist in 999 pure gold.

    This holiday season, Lux brought the magic of Christmas to life for Molton Brown's 2023 Christmas campaign. Working alongside motion control specialists MRMOCO and visual effects experts MACHINESHOP, our production team captured the sparkling magic of Christmas in stunning 1000fps slow motion. From sparkling glitter explosions to delicately showcasing Molton Brown's special Christmas recipes, we meticulously captured everything in-camera, creating these stunning visual assets that highlight Molton Brown's festive offerings.

  • This Works Dream Campaign

    Lux had the honour of crafting a celestial series of stills and videos for This Works' new 'dream' campaign, focused on their sublime pillow spray collection. Collaborating with special effects masters at MACHINESHOP, our production team artfully created a serene, dream-like setting. Our exceptional skills in lighting were especially pivotal in crafting a beautifully blended background gradient that mimics a dreamy sky, seamlessly aligning with the soothing nature of the sprays. Utilising cutting-edge visual effects, we delivered a tranquil ambiance that perfectly captures the essence of these restorative products. The end result is a visually-stunning campaign that not only met but exceeded client expectations, bringing the comforting qualities of the This Works 'dream' collection vividly to life.

    Lux produced this series of captivating stills and film assets for Molton Brown’s upcoming Wild Mint & Lavandin fragrance launch campaign. Working with talented stylist Kate French; our production team built this enchanting forest set combining extensive physical propping with our upgraded LED projection technology. Providing a lush, natural backdrop that embodies the essence of the fresh fragrance. Refined lighting further brought the Wild Mint theme to life resulting in a captivating campaign that exceeded the client expectations. Through vivid visual storytelling we successfully bought to life Molton Brown's new collection highlighting the forest-inspired scents and ingredients of Wild Mint & Lavandin.

    Operating industry leading high-speed Phantom cameras, we showcase the serum's intricate texture through a selection of beautiful liquid slow-motion shots. Combining 1000fps 4K capture with extreme macro framing allowed us to deliver a visual masterpiece that perfectly showcases the essence of the Rose Micro Serum.

    Lux had the pleasure to produce another series of beautiful campaign assets for high-end perfumers, Electimuss London. Highlighting the unique story and inspiration of the scent; the ingredients working seamlessly to complement the beautifully lit bottle in the centre. Our team's expertise in lighting and cinematography brought the captivating Auster fragrance to life in a delicate, considered and cinematic way.

    KOPPARBERG SUMMER PROMOTIONAL FILMS

    Commissioned by the team at the Imagine Neverland agency, Lux was thrilled to create a captivating series of video assets showcasing Kopparberg's irresistible summer drinks collection. Crafted to celebrate the sun-soaked season, these films illuminate the essence of Kopparberg's summer drinks range. All filmed from our East London studio, we meticulously constructed a vibrant, sunny setting, bathed in the warmth of expertly crafted lighting by our experienced D.o.P. Our skilled crew employed their exceptional slow-motion camera techniques and motion control equipment to capture a variety of dynamic, exhilarating shots. All edited together by our creative post production team who delivered the final set of films tightly edited to the clients desired backing track. The films were delivered in mobile 9x16 ratio, so are presented below running in parallel to maintain a landscape format for display here.

    Molton Brown Christmas 2022

    Lux was commissioned by the team at Molton Brown to produce three Christmas films for their iconic advent calendar and festive product range. Shot for a wide variety of uses; Lux created these cinematic quality videos from our large East London studio. Shot on 6K cine cameras and working with a crew from Mark Roberts Motion Control; we were able to combine the highest quality footage with the most dynamic camera movements to deliver these stunning and attention-grabbing festive Christmas advertisements - and all done so for an affordable budget that would surprise even experienced producers and commissioners.

    Kopparberg Autumn Range

    Commissioned by the team at the Imagine Neverland agency, Lux shot a wide range of video assets covering most of Kopparberg’s iconic product range. This series of films was created to promote their cold-weather offerings. This cosy bar setup was constructed here in our East London studio and lit by one of our expert D.o.Ps to create the inviting and warm vibe required by the client. Our highly experienced crew pulled-out all of the stops with their slow-motion camera operating skills and camera motion control equipment to create a variety of exciting shots. All woven together by our creative post production team who delivered the final set of films tightly edited to the clients desired backing track. The films were delivered in mobile 9x16 ratio, so are presented below running in parallel to maintain a landscape format for display here.

    Big Potato Games Xmas Ad

    Guiding The Big Potato Games company through their first foray into TV broadcasting, Lux shot this charming 20 second advertisement exclusively from our spacious London studio. Animated by the talented Robin Garcia of Big Potato Games; he worked closely with our friendly and experienced post-production team to seamlessly bring together this playful ad ready for UK broadcast across ITV in time for Christmas 2022. Lux’s multi-disciplined team meant Big Potato were, for the first time, able to afford to advertise on the tried and tested television broadcast medium.

    Utilising many of the tricks in Lux’s video production toolbox, we combined high-speed camera technology for super-slow-motion playback with seamless motion control techniques for this short film for REN skincare, detailing the benefits of their top 5 bestselling products.

    Omorovicza Evergreen Ingredients

    Our production team are fully trained in operating the industry standard Phantom range of high-speed cameras. This allows us to fulfil all slow-motion requirements including liquid and explosions. We often work in collaboration with a crew from London-based special effects experts, Machine Shop. And this project for luxury skincare brand Omorovicza was no exception. This collection of stunning underwater product shots was used extensively across their social and online channels.

    MOLTON BROWN HEAVENLY GINGERLILY CAMPAIGN

    Lux masterfully crafted these gorgeous films for Molton Brown's Heavenly Gingerlily Campaign. Our passionate team, including styling & sourcing virtuoso Kate French, meticulously designed a lush, greenhouse-like garden set teeming with exquisite plants and natural beauty. The client loved the graceful camera sweep from afar, pushing into the hero product amidst the delicate mist. The combination of beautiful natural styling, refined studio lighting, expert camera movements and delicate colour grading blended perfectly to create these stunning films for the global Gingerlily fragrance campaign launch.

    Luxury skincare brand Omorovicza have commissioned Lux several times over the past few years to shoot their premium product line. For this campaign, our crew utilised their skills in super slow-motion capture and macro cinematography knowledge to show off the product in action.

    One of the most ambitious individual motion control shots we’ve undertaken, and as a result - one of the most exciting we’ve ever produced. Kopparberg, in collaboration with agency Imagine Neverland, wanted an enticing and attention-grabbing single take shot to showcase their iconic hero cider range, so Lux delivered.

Our production team devised a very clever way to rig the set keeping the flowers fresh and products looking perfect in every shot. Produced for use in a wide range of marketing materials as well as looping in-store POS displays.

This immersive campaign transports viewers into a vibrant, sun-kissed setting that perfectly complements the fresh and invigorating notes of the fragrance. By meticulously crafting a virtual environment, we highlight the essence of summer and the sophisticated allure of Molton Brown's offering.

    We’re constantly striving to improve our skillset and the range of tools and techniques that our in-house crew are trained to operate; and this test shoot with the gorgeous Citizen Chronometer was the perfect chance to expand our knowledge of macro motion control under the expert tuition of Dennis Henry - a highly experienced operator from industry leaders, Mark Roberts MOCO.

    Lux was thrilled to produce this gorgeous campaign for 111Skin’s Y-Theorem Repair Serum. With over 25 years of experience in working with and lighting products to the highest level; this project is a testament to our teams ability to transfer this knowledge and skill into a CGI environment. Produced completely in-house by one of our CGI specialists, Guy Welch; the film beautifully captures the finish and intricate details of the serum. Guy also masterfully designed the lighting, camera moves and animation, creating dynamic sequences that perfectly highlight the product's transformative qualities.

    Lux produced this stunning film for Dr Sebagh’s Platinum Gold Elixir utilising our OLED projection method. Our Director of Photography Lee Pattison expertly crafted a unique lighting setup that showed off these fully reflective products in the best light possible. The result is a collection of visually captivating shots that perfectly showcase the elegance and sophistication of the brand.

    As the UK’s leading photographic studio for products and cosmetics, Lux has a long-standing partnership with renowned skincare brand Elemis. This time, collaborating with styling expert Olivia Clifford, our team created a stunning set to showcase Elemis’ New Rose Marine Cream in all its glory. Our lighting experts worked meticulously to craft a warm lighting setup, bringing out the cream's true essence. We captured both stills and moving assets for use in in-store displays, websites, and social media channels.

    Lux created a series of captivating video and still assets for the launch campaign of Electimuss' brand new fragrance, Aquila Absolute. Building upon our previous successful collaboration, we implemented innovative techniques, including our unique background projection, to elevate the visual impact of the campaign. With meticulous attention to detail, expert lighting, and advanced videography skills, we crafted a collection of immersive product videos that beautifully conveyed the essence and narrative of the fragrance.

    In our latest collaboration with Elemis, we worked on the Pro-Collagen Glow Boost Exfoliator campaign, producing a series of product and texture videos and stills. Together with styling expert Olivia Clifford, we designed a beautiful set that showcased the product's natural texture and features. Our team's attention to detail and expertise in lighting and videography helped us to create videos that captured the essence of the product and its benefits. We are thrilled to have been a part of such an exciting campaign and look forward to continuing our work with Elemis.

    Using Lux’s highly-efficient OLED scene projection method; we filmed these transfixing scenes for Electimuss’ latest perfume release. Utilising our high-spec OLED panels serving as both real-time background plates and primary light sources. This new technique opens up a whole exciting realm of possibilities for creativity, flexibility, time-efficiency and realism at a previously unthinkable production price-point.

    REN SKINCARE EVERCALM CAMPAIGN

    As one of the leading tabletop production studios in the UK, our expertise in creating consistently stunning and engaging product films has made us the go-to choice for REN Skincare to shoot much of their marketing content. Recently, Lux had the pleasure of producing a series of videos for REN's Evercalm range of products. Utilising high-speed Phantom cine cameras shooting at 1000fps, we were able to capture the products and textures in mesmerising slow-motion detail. We delivered a collection of beautiful and diverse moving image assets that both effectively showcased the products themselves whilst also captivating viewers and potential customers through delicate, filmic cinematography.

    STELLA ARTOIS - OUR SHOWCASE

    The artistry and knowledge necessary to successfully light and shoot products at the highest level is a skill that takes many years of focussed experience to master, and very few products provide more of an exciting challenge to light than the intricate details and textures of drink and glassware. Our beautiful drinkware showcase piece presented here features the iconic Stella Artois 330ml bottle. The shoot presented the perfect opportunity for our team to put their decades of combined lighting experience to the test. Cinematographer Lee Pattison worked hard to ensure that all of the intricate design elements of the bottle were shown-off in the most beautiful way possible. And, far harder to achieve than our talented crew has made it appear; creating the perfect delicate spritzing on the bottle and glass surfaces has effectively transcribed the refreshing taste and sensation of Stella into a visual experience.

    We’ve been shooting stills for the Pokémon plushies range throughout this year, and have recently taken the content to the next level as moving-image shoots. Utilising our mini Volume OLED setup, we’re able to move between widely varied scenes throughout the course of a single shoot day. These adorable shots are the results.

    Lux was commissioned by Miller Harris to create a series of photo & video assets for their highly anticipated Hydra Figue fragrance launch campaign. Our exceptional lighting experts and videographers designed a unique set up, utilising our projector to showcase the marine elements on the tabletop set. We worked closely with the Miller Harris team throughout the entire process, from pre-production meetings to post-production, ensuring a flawless execution and complete client satisfaction.

    As part of our ongoing efforts to take advantage of and operate the industries most flexible and cutting-edge cine cameras and techniques, our team recently tested the latest innovation from leading manufacturer Blackmagic. Their latest camera system boasting up to 12K resolution at 60fps and 240fps at 4K will allow our clients a previously unimaginable level of flexibility for cropping and reframing cinema quality footage of their products in post-production. Able to meet the wide variety of modern crop requirements from a single clip; this camera promises to enhance even further Lux’s ability to offer an all-in-one, cost-effective video production service fulfilling the ever-increasing range of deliverable requirements to all of it’s clients. Choosing the highly-photogenic Olay Retinol 24 Night Serum made for the perfect test bed to put this camera through it’s paces. And we certainly felt the results worth sharing!
